Latiohm specialised LATI
products
A new family of components is available in the
wide range of specialised LATI products. LATIOHMs
are products that are specifically designed for
use in applications that require protection against
damage due to electrostatic discharges (ESD).
LATIOHMs are available in a wide range
of thermoplastic resins (PP, PA, PBT, PC, etc.)
with surface resistance values from 104 to 1012
Ohms with permanent or semi-permanent effect.
They can be ordered in a wide range of colours,
do not release conductive particles into the surrounding
environment and do not leave marks on other components
they are in contact with (fabrics, paper, etc.)
because they do not contain carbon.
Versions that are self-extinguishing, lubricated,
or offer enhanced mechanical and thermal properties
can be specially developed for specific applications.
Since LATIOHMs are inherently static-free,
they are superior to products that require treatments
to improve surface conductivity. They are particularly
suited for use in environments where handmade
items must not attract dust and/or pick up electrostatic
charge (white rooms, explosive environments, in
the transport of electronic components, etc.).
