KTW
The German agency for water and gas DVGW
(Deutsche Vereinigung des Gas -und Wasserfaches),
has defined a series of recommendations for plastic
materials used in the transport of drinking water
known by the German abbreviation KTW (Kunststoffe
und Trinkwasser) which substitutes the previous
national authority on the subject, BGA (Bundesgesundheitsamt)
and BgVV (Bundesinstitut fur gesundheitlichen
Verbraucherschutz und Veterinarmedizin).
DVGW, through a network of laboratories
throughout Germany and northern Europe, first
of all examines the suitability of the formulation
and then subjects the product to rigorous tests
of suitability to the use depending on the final
application.
Lati S.p.A., through its Customer
Assistance service, is able to support customers
in the validation process of its products until
this prestigious certification indispensable for
the European market is obtained. The vast availability
of raw materials from qualified suppliers, has
permitted the setting up of specific formulations
that have allowed customers to successfully attain
this important recognition. |
