A new center of excellence for the Indian market, born from the meeting of technical culture, sustainability, and attention to people, to meet the growing demand for high-performance engineering polymers.

June 11, 2025 – LATI and LOXIM announce the creation of a strategic joint venture aimed at strengthening both companies’ presence in the Indian engineering plastics market. The agreement follows the spin-off of LOXIM’s Engineering Compounds division and the establishment of a new entity, LATI-LOXIM Thermoplastics Private Limited, jointly founded by the two companies.

The new company combines LATI’s technological know-how, a European leader in high-performance engineering polymers, with LOXIM’s strong local presence, its established position in the automotive and electrical markets, and an extensive commercial network across India. LOXIM operates with an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons and boasts a strategic presence in the Sanand industrial district (Gujarat). This solid production base will enable the joint venture to efficiently meet the growing demand in the E&E, home appliances, automotive, and e-mobility sectors.

“We are proud to embark on this journey with LOXIM,” stated Michela Conterno, CEO of LATI. “This joint venture is born from a deep sharing of values: attention to people, work ethics, spirit of innovation, and sustainability. By combining our technical expertise with a solid local production presence, we will be able to offer advanced solutions while maintaining the level of quality and service that has always distinguished us.”

“At LOXIM, we place great value on building relationships that go beyond mere business,” emphasized Canon Patel, Managing Director of LOXIM. “What truly makes this joint venture with LATI special is the authentic human relationship and the deep sharing of values – a commitment to integrity, innovation, sustainability, and people. It is a partnership founded on respect and mutual trust, and we are excited to bring cutting-edge solutions closer to the Indian market thanks to this shared vision.”

Thanks to a dedicated technical laboratory and local resources, the new entity will support the development of customized projects for the Indian market, with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability. This approach will enable it to respond promptly to customer needs and to address current geopolitical dynamics with greater resilience.

LATI and LOXIM thus reaffirm their commitment to building a more innovative and sustainable industry, centered on people’s well-being, while strengthening their position in one of the key markets for the future of high-performance engineering polymers.
