To minimize the risk of incorrect use of child car seats, designers at the Swedish company Holmbergs have developed Roll Fix™, an innovative tensioning system integrated into the seat.
The device keeps the safety belts constantly taut, preventing their accidental extension and thus ensuring greater safety and comfort during travel.

LATIGLOSS Structural Compounds: Performance and Design for Roll Fix™

For the development of the Roll Fix™ system, Holmbergs collaborated with LATI in choosing the most suitable material for structural components, such as the ratchet and the retractor support.

Thanks to static and dynamic FEM simulations conducted by LATI technicians, the mechanical and functional feasibility of the project was confirmed, leading to the adoption of LATIGLOSS structural compounds.

Robustness and Aesthetic Quality

The LATIGLOSS family includes compounds based on PA and PPA reinforced with glass or carbon fiber, formulated to offer:

  • high mechanical strength, even in extreme conditions;

  • excellent aesthetic finish of molded surfaces;

  • dimensional stability and durability over time.

Thanks to these characteristics, LATIGLOSS compounds represent a solid alternative to metal in metal replacement projects, opening up new possibilities for design and structural lightness.

LATI Structural Materials: Solutions for Every Need

In addition to LATIGLOSS, LATI offers a wide range of high-performance technical materials, formulated on resins ranging from PP to PEEK.
These compounds guarantee:

  • stiffness and mechanical strength under repeated and prolonged stress;

  • tensile strength up to 300 MPa;

  • continuous operating temperatures from 80°C to over 260°C.
