Advanced Thermoplastic Solutions for the Automotive Industry

LATI reaffirms its position as a key technology partner in the automotive sector by securing its place in the A-PMR 2025 approved materials panel by Renault Group. The updated list features certified thermoplastic compounds specifically designed for critical applications in electric vehicles (EVs) and under-the-bonnet (UB) environments, meeting the highest standards for performance, safety, and sustainability.


LATI Flame-Retardant Thermoplastics: Safety for Electric Vehicle Applications

As a European leader in flame-retardant thermoplastics for electrical applications, LATI applies its extensive expertise to the automotive industry, offering cutting-edge solutions for high-demand EV components.
The 2025 Renault Panel includes LATI compounds based on:

  • PA6 and PA66 (LATAMID) and PBT (LATER) – both available in UL94 V0, halogen-free, glass fiber-reinforced grades;
  • These materials are ideal for overmolding metal components and parts exposed to high mechanical and thermal stress.

For applications requiring superior electrical insulation, LATI offers high-temperature polymer-based compounds:

  • PPS (LARTON)
  • PESU (LAPEX A)

These grades are particularly suited for electric motor insulation.


Thermal and electrical conductivity: LATICONTHER 62 GR/50 NT:8826

A recent addition to the 2025 panel, LATICONTHER 62 GR/50 NT:8826 is a PA6-based compound reinforced with 50% graphite, delivering excellent thermal conductivity.
This innovative solution is ideal for meeting the increasing demands of thermal management in electric vehicle design.
