LATI S.p.A., a leading company in the thermoplastic compound industry, recently successfully concluded its long-awaited Open Day, entitled "Casa LATI – Scopri il futuro dell’Industria" ("Home LATI - Discover the Future of Industry"). The event, spread over two days (Nov. 25 and 26), was attended by about 300 people, including external stakeholders, LATI people, friends and family members.

With significant numbers, including 9 company tours, an engaging panel discussion on gender equality, and an atmosphere of contagious energy, the Open Day provided a compelling experience in the world of plastics and the science that governs it.

During the event, LATI presented its vision of digitizing the factory, with the goal of making it increasingly effective, sustainable, and people-friendly. LATI CEO Michela Conterno said, "The Open Day was an extraordinary opportunity to share our passion for innovation and sustainability with our community."

Guided tours allowed participants to explore behind-the-scenes of the manufacturing process, showing how LATI turns science into tons of thermoplastic compounds for various industrial applications.

The panel discussion on gender equality, promoted together with Italypost and OpenFactory, was attended by special guests such as Camilla Buttà, Sustainability, Diversity&Inclusion & Communication Manager in Vector S.p.A., Rita Querzé, journalist for Corriere della Sera and writer of the book "Women and Work. Revolution in six moves" published by Post Editori, Mauro Vitiello, CEO of Copying Srl, Founder of Indaco Lab and President of Varese Chamber of Commerce.

In addition, LATI recalled recent certifications and awards, including Great Place to Work certification and inclusion among the "Best Workplaces for Blue Collars 2023." The company was awarded the title of "Champion" by Italypost and celebrated its third consecutive year of success by receiving the prestigious gold medal from EcoVadis for its ongoing commitment to sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The LATI Open Day is part of the Open Factory project, an initiative promoted by ItalyPost, Touring Club Italiano, and L'Economia del Corriere della Sera, which aims to acquaint the public with the cultural, social, and economic importance of businesses that generate value for the country. The ninth edition took place on Saturday, Nov. 25 and Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, both in-person at the companies and live digitally.

LATI thanks all participants and invites anyone who wants to stay abreast of the industry's evolution not to miss upcoming events and meeting opportunities.
